Randall S. Fong, MD, has practiced in the Tri-Cities since completing his training in 1995. He is trained in general ear, nose, and throat (ENT), head and neck oncology, facial plastics and reconstruction, otology, and pediatric ENT. He practices a broad spectrum of general ear, nose, and throat medical and surgical services. These include adult and pediatric management of: ear disorders, including ear infections, placement of ear tubes, ear surgery, and the evaluation of hearing disorders; nasal and sinus conditions such as tonsil and adenoid disorders including removal of these glands; voice problems including hoarseness and lesions of the larynx (voice box); and mouth, lip, and throat lesions and disorders. He treats various disorders of the sinuses (air passages in the face and head that communicate into the nose) and nasal passages including nasal obstruction, allergic nasal conditions, and sinus disorders. In-office nasal endoscopy is also used when needed. He also has extensive experience in endoscopic sinus surgery.
Dr. Fong has served as chairman of the joint cancer committee for Kennewick General Hospital and Lourdes Medical Center. He also served as chief of surgery at Kennewick General Hospital. Also at Kennewick General Hospital, Dr. Fong developed a protocol for thyroid and parathyroid disorders using intraoperative localization of parathyroid tumors using the gamma probe. He is a clinical faculty member for the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. He was born and raised in California.
